PoE

One-channel surge protector for equipment inside a building, rated to 10 Gbps: it passes 10M/100M/1G/2.5G/10G over Cat 5e or Cat 6, UTP or STP. Data and power are protected across all eight conductors, at 20 kV common mode and 4 kV differential mode, with up to 10 kA discharge current, 5 ns response and clamping of 600 V to ground and 20 V line to line. PoE support covers 802.3af, 802.3at, 802.3bt and UPoE at no more than 60 V DC, 1 A over two pairs, 2 A over four pairs and 95 W. Insertion loss is 1 dB and return loss -20 dB at 10 and 100 MHz. Nothing has to be configured, and an LED marks a spent protector. Temperature range -40 °C to 85 °C, 80 x 40 x 25 mm, 0.18 kg, two RJ45 sockets.

Single-channel PoE surge protector for indoor positions: next to the PoE switch, or inside a junction or power box. Indoor PoE++ injector to IEEE 802.3bt, backward compatible with 802.3at and 802.3af. It supplies one Gigabit port with up to 90 W across four pairs at 54 V DC, pinned 1/2 (-) with 3/6 (+), then 4/5 (+) with 7/8 (-), over a cable run of 100 m. It suits loads that draw heavily, such as speed domes or housings with heater, blower, wiper and illuminator. Terminals outside the standard are detected and protected. Mains input 100–240 V AC, rated to 280 V AC for four hours and 300 V AC for one minute. Surge protection: 6 kV at the data and PoE port, 4 kV at the mains input. Mid-span injector for a single Gigabit run indoors. It puts power onto an existing 10/100/1000Base-T line and so feeds devices a plain switch port cannot: speed domes, or camera housings carrying a blower, heater, illuminator and wiper. Power leaves as 95 W PoH on all four pairs at 54 V DC, pinned 1/2 (-) with 3/6 (+), then 4/5 (+) with 7/8 (-), and reaches 100 m. It works with IEEE 802.3at/af and recognises non-standard terminals, protecting them. Input 100–240 V AC, briefly 280 V AC for four hours and 300 V AC for one minute. The UP-EXT-R2 is a 19-inch subrack that holds up to 16 IP and PoE extenders of the UP-EXT-SET series. It serves purely for mechanical mounting inside the cabinet and does not supply the individual extenders, whose power comes from the PoE being transmitted. Where no PoE is present, each UP-EXT-SET has to be powered individually. Fitting the media converters is straightforward, and all the mounting accessories required are included.
