The PD-VDSL-MI1GQ is a bridge modem for long-reach Ethernet links, combining a 10/100/1000TX copper port on RJ45 with a VDSL2 extender port, likewise on RJ45. The transmission medium is twisted pair copper cable such as Cat3 telephone cable; distances of up to 2km are possible over one wire pair, and both symmetrical and asymmetrical transmission at up to roughly 100 Mbit/s are supported. Achievable data rates depend heavily on cable quality: measured on a Cat3 telephone cable, the approximate values without guarantee are 95/95 Mbit/s at 100m, 25/20 Mbit/s at 600m and 5/2 Mbit/s at 2000m downstream and upstream. The metal housing is fed at 12-24VDC through a 2.1/5.5 hollow plug with an adapter for screw terminals included, drawing 4,5W at 15 BTU/h. The operating range covers -20°C to 65°C at a net weight of 0.33 kg, and the device is not compatible with the PD-VDSL-MI1G. The LO-9500-R1 is a 19-inch rack of one height unit for media converters of the LO-9500 range. It takes up to four converters, and fitting the devices is straightforward. The PD-R2 is a 19-inch subrack of two height units with 17 slots for VDSL2 LAN extenders. It addresses low density installations where management functions are not required, and each extender can alternatively be run as a stand-alone device. An AC power supply is built in and feeds all modules centrally, while a fan keeps the rack temperature within the permissible working range. Connection is by IEC plug at 230VAC; the base load is 10W, each modem adds 4.5W, and the thermal loss is 34 BTU/h. The UP-EXT-CABLE is a connection cable that powers a UP-EXT-SET wherever no PoE feed is available at the installation point. The VI-COAX-3205 places four 10/100BaseTX Ethernet ports with PoE and PoE+ (RJ45) behind a single coaxial uplink, which makes existing analogue video cabling usable for IP applications. The KT-DIN-Winkel is a mounting bracket for DIN rail switches. It holds the switches rotated by 90 degrees, so that they protrude less far into the depth of a terminal box.
