The LO-9500-R1 is a 19-inch rack of one height unit for media converters of the LO-9500 range. It takes up to four converters, and fitting the devices is straightforward. All the mounting accessories needed are supplied with it. The operating temperature range runs from -20 C to +50 C, and the rack itself produces no thermal power loss. As a 19-inch rack of two height units, the LO-9500-R2A accommodates up to 14 media converters of the LO-9500 range. Two redundant power supplies for 110-230 VAC each at 50-60 Hz are part of the delivery and secure availability. Fully equipped with 14 converters the rack draws a maximum of 50 W, and thermal power loss is 34 BTU/h. Fitting the converters is simple and the necessary mounting accessories are included. Media converter that draws its own power over the network: the Gigabit copper port acts as a PD and takes power from a bt PoE source, or the unit runs from 12 V DC instead. The SFP slot for 100/1000BASE-X carries the link on over fibre. This gives a copper-to-fibre transition at a location with no mains socket nearby. The PC-MC101-GE couples a 10/100/1000BaseTX copper port on RJ45 with an SFP slot for 100 or 1000 Mbit/s using LC connectors; the SFP data rate is selected by dipswitch. This lets the media converter attach to practically all common central switches. Auto negotiation, auto MDI/MDI-X, full and half duplex plus LFP (Link Fault Pass Through) are part of the feature set, while management is not provided. The KN-BTPMC-202M links two 10/100/1000TX copper ports to two SFP ports for 100/1000 Mbit/s and is mounted on a DIN rail. The defining feature of this media converter is the PDOR function, which switches the PoE output off and on again remotely. Combined with the SFP autochecking function of the RY switches, connected devices such as IP cameras can be monitored and restarted automatically in the event of a fault; the connected switch has to support SFP autochecking for this. The unit works without management and links a 10/100/1000TX copper port with PoE to af/at/bt up to 90 W with an SFP port for 100/1000BaseFX, where LC duplex or simplex depends on the SFP type. The PDOR (PD Optical Reboot) function allows the PoE output of this media converter to be switched off and on again remotely, so that attached IP cameras can be restarted in the event of a fault. For active monitoring and control the connected switch has to support the SFP auto-checking function.
