Description
Housed in an IP67-rated enclosure, the VI-COAX-2400WP can be mounted outdoors without an additional weatherproof box. It carries 10/100Mbps Ethernet together with PoE-af (15W) and PoE-at (30W) over coaxial cable across a maximum of approximately 500m, with pass-through technology forwarding the supply of a PoE switch as far as an IP camera. The far end of the coaxial link must be a device from the VI-COAX-24xy series, and no software configuration is needed. Power comes from PoE alone; the unit cannot be supplied locally. Cabling is 75Ohm RG59 or 50Ohm RG6, RG58A/U, RG58C/U and RG58U or equivalent. It provides one 10/100BaseT port (RJ45) and one coax port (BNC), draws 3W, dissipates 7 BTU/h, measures 174 x 40 x 47mm (L x D x H) and operates from -40 to +75°C.
