Description
A four-channel module for the central side, the VI-COAX-2404AB connects four separate extender lines and provides four 10/100BaseT ports (RJ45) together with four coaxial ports (BNC). Each line carries 10/100Mbps Ethernet and PoE-af (15W) or PoE-at (30W) over coaxial cable across up to 500m, with the power loss of the transmission path to be taken into account. The unit runs on 12VDC from the separate VI-0014AB power supply included in delivery, which does not insert PoE itself. Suitable cabling is 50Ohm RG6, RG58A/U, RG58C/U and RG58U or 75Ohm RG59 and equivalents, and no software configuration is required. Built for table or wall mounting, it measures 125 x 95 x 60mm (L x D x H), draws 8W, dissipates 27 BTU/h and operates from -40 to +75°C.
