Description
With sixteen channels, the VI-COAX-2416AB serves 16 separate extender lines and provides 16 10/100BaseT ports (RJ45) plus 16 coaxial ports (BNC). Each line transports 10/100Mbps Ethernet together with PoE-af (15W) and PoE-at (30W) over coaxial cable across up to 500m, and the power loss of the run must be factored in. Operating voltage is 12VDC from the separate VI-0014AB power supply included in delivery, which inserts no PoE of its own. Cables can be 50Ohm RG6, RG58A/U, RG58C/U and RG58U or 75Ohm RG59 and equivalents, and no software configuration is needed. Supplied in a 19 inch format of 1U and 250mm that also allows table or wall mounting, it draws 30W, dissipates 34 BTU/h, weighs 2.8 kg net and runs from -40 to +75°C.
