Description
Recommended for the camera end of a link, the single-channel VI-COAX-2400A joins one 10/100BaseT port (RJ45) to one coaxial port (BNC) and spans up to 500m. Alongside 10/100Mbps Ethernet, pass-through technology carries PoE-af (15W) or PoE-at (30W), so no separate supply is needed in PoE mode; the power loss of the run has to be accounted for. Suitable cabling is 50Ohm RG6, RG58A/U, RG58C/U and RG58U, or 75Ohm RG59 and equivalents. No software configuration is involved and diagnostic LEDs indicate the operating state. Built for table or wall mounting, the module measures 55 x 45 x 27mm (L x D x H), draws 2W, dissipates 7 BTU/h, weighs 0.09 kg net and works from -40 to +75°C.
