The UP-EXT-CABLE is a connection cable that powers a UP-EXT-SET wherever no PoE feed is available at the installation point. The matching PS-DIN-AC/48/40 power supply is ordered separately; in principle the cable works with any power supply whose output is 48-56VDC and which provides at least 40W. Cable length is 2m, and the weight is 0.04 kg both net and gross. The stated operating range covers -40 to +75°C. The UP-EXT-R2 is a 19-inch subrack that holds up to 16 IP and PoE extenders of the UP-EXT-SET series. It serves purely for mechanical mounting inside the cabinet and does not supply the individual extenders, whose power comes from the PoE being transmitted. Where no PoE is present, each UP-EXT-SET has to be powered individually. Fitting the media converters is straightforward, and all the mounting accessories required are included. Devices of the UP-EXT-SET series carry 10/100Mbps Ethernet together with PoE and PoE+ over coaxial cable or twisted-pair UTP cable across distances of up to 300m. They ship and operate as a pair, the UP-EXT-CAM on the camera side and the UP-EXT-SERV on the server side, and a BNC to two-wire terminal adapter is part of the delivery. Power comes from the existing PoE or, at the central end, from a separately ordered supply; no software configuration is needed and diagnostic LEDs indicate the operating state. Suitable transmission media are RG59 coaxial cable or similar and data cable from Cat5 upwards. Each transfer device draws 2W, measures 82 x 25 x 63mm, reaches IP30 protection and mounts on a plate with the supplied flanges or, sixteen at a time on 2U, in the UP-EXT-R2 subrack. Description
This compact industrial power supply suits DIN rail or table mounting and serves DIN rail mountable switches, media converters and further devices. Connection is made by screw terminals to a 110/230VAC mains, with an admissible input range of 85-264VAC and 120-370VDC. Consumption depends on the device being supplied and amounts to 45W at most, while thermal power loss is stated as 16 BTU/h. Operation is specified between -20° and +70°C. The housing measures 40 x 90 x 100mm (WxHxD) and weighs 0.25 kg net, 0.27 kg gross.
