Description
Devices of the UP-EXT-SET series carry 10/100Mbps Ethernet together with PoE and PoE+ over coaxial cable or twisted-pair UTP cable across distances of up to 300m. They ship and operate as a pair, the UP-EXT-CAM on the camera side and the UP-EXT-SERV on the server side, and a BNC to two-wire terminal adapter is part of the delivery. Power comes from the existing PoE or, at the central end, from a separately ordered supply; no software configuration is needed and diagnostic LEDs indicate the operating state. Suitable transmission media are RG59 coaxial cable or similar and data cable from Cat5 upwards. Each transfer device draws 2W, measures 82 x 25 x 63mm, reaches IP30 protection and mounts on a plate with the supplied flanges or, sixteen at a time on 2U, in the UP-EXT-R2 subrack.
