Description
This wireless addressable range extender scales a fire alarm system to fit larger facilities and also supports intrusion protection devices. Up to 5 EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller units connect to the CIE, and each unit in turn takes up to 199 devices. Jeweller and Wings radio both use GFSK modulation with up to 20 mW ERP and reach up to 5,900 ft across bands from 866.0 to 926.5 MHz, while a single 8P8C socket provides the wired Ethernet channel. Alarms reach the CIE in 0.3 s and photos in 18 s or 10 s, with green and yellow LED indication. Power comes from a 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz external supply and a 7.4 V⎓ internal source rated 5 Ah/10 Ah, drawing 80 mA quiescent and 105 mA maximum. Two tamper buttons, device authentication against spoofing and connection loss detection after 36 s complete the protection.
