Description
This 3.5-inch SkyHawk drive holds 8 TB, carries a 256 MB buffer and is addressed over Serial ATA III. Interface transfer runs at 6 Gbit/s, the sustained rate is 180 MiB/s and the maximum number of supported cameras is given as 64. Rotational vibration sensors and 24/7 operation are part of the design, together with 600000 start/stop cycles, a workload rate limit of 180 TB/year, 1000000 h MTBF and an uncorrectable bit error rate of < 1 per 10^14 bits read. Energy demand is 5.3 W in typical operation, 3.4 W idle and 0.25 W when off, at 5 / 12 V with 1.8 A start-up current. The allowed range is 0 - 60 °C, and the housing measures 101.6 x 26.1 x 147 mm at 630 g.
