Description
Built as a 3.5-inch drive for PC use, the SkyHawk ST4000VX016 offers 4 TB of capacity with a 256 MB buffer over a Serial ATA III interface. That interface transfers at 6 Gbit/s while the drive itself sustains 180 MiB/s, and up to 64 cameras are listed as supported. RV sensors are fitted and 24/7 operation is supported, with 600000 start/stop cycles and a mean time between failures of 1000000 h. Power consumption is 3.7 W for both read and write, 2.5 W idle and 0.25 W in standby, at 5 / 12 V with a 1.8 A start-up current. The permitted operating temperature runs from 0 to 65 °C.
