Description

This addressable dual input/output module links a fire alarm control panel with wired third-party automation systems and devices. Two input lines, Input 1 and Input 2, share a common Shield terminal and accept NO, NC, EOL, 2EOL and 3EOL connection types with 0.47 kΩ, 1.2 kΩ, 2.7 kΩ and 6.2 kΩ resistors, over wired runs of up to 325 ft using a cable cross-section of 0.4–2.5 mm² (21–13 AWG). The relay outputs Output 1 and Output 2 switch 10—250 V~ from 5 mA to 10 A or 10—30 V⎓ from 5 mA to 5 A, in both cases with a resistive load and the same cable cross-section. Input monitoring reports loss of the wired connection, short circuits and malfunctions whenever the EOL, 2EOL or 3EOL wiring is in use. The radio side relies on Jeweller with two-way communication, GFSK modulation, frequency hopping and up to 20 mW ERP with automatic power control, over a range of up to 5,550 ft. Device authentication prevents spoofing, connection loss is signalled after 36 s, and the module is powered by 2 × CR123A cells.
