Description
Coverage is confined to a narrow curtain-shaped field of 8° horizontally and 85°/75°/15° vertically, over a motion detection distance of up to 26–39 ft. Two PIR sensors work alongside a K-band microwave sensor, and this dual motion detection technology together with SmartDetect counters false alarms across a detection speed range of 1 to 6.6 ft/s, with sensitivity selectable in three levels. Pets up to a height of 3.3 ft are disregarded irrespective of weight. The Jeweller and Wings radio links use GFSK modulation, up to 20 mW ERP and a range of up to 5,550 ft across bands from 866.0–866.5 MHz to 921.0–922.0 MHz. An anti-masking system, an accelerometer, device authentication against spoofing and communication loss detection within 36 s guard the unit against tampering. Power comes from two CR123A batteries of type C, with a calculated battery life of up to 3 years.
